This seminar will go through the Evacuation of high rise building s and the Person Centred Fire Risk assessment.  The Fire Safety (Residential Evacuation Plans) (England) Regulations 2025 represent a major shift in fire safety planning for high-rise residential buildings. This new legislation focuses on proactive evacuation planning, ensuring that vulnerable residents receive the support they need during an emergency.

In the wake of tragedies such as Grenfell Tower, it is clear that traditional “stay put” policies do not work for everyone—particularly residents with mobility impairments, sensory limitations, or other vulnerabilities. These regulations put a legal responsibility on building owners, property managers, and responsible persons to develop Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) and conduct Person-Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs) for those who need assistance
