Aim:

The “Preparing for the IFE Level 3 Certificate in Fire Science, Operations, Fire Safety and Management Online Revision Course”  has been developed to aid those who wish to sit the IFE Level 3 Certificate Examination.  It has also been designed as a full educational support for all those in the industry who wish to improve their knowledge of fire to this level.

  • Firefighting Techniques: Basic rescue methods, searching incidents, evacuation, fire spread, ventilation, and water supply.
  • Specialized Operations: Confined space rescue, high-rise fires, water rescue, and hazardous materials incidents.
  • Safety and Health: Manual handling, personal protective equipment, and risk assessment.

It provides a comprehensive overview of fire safety engineering, focusing on building structures, fire protection systems, and fire risk assessment. It covers topics such as:

  • Building Structures: Fire resistance of structural elements, building materials, and construction methods.
  • Fire Protection Systems: Fire doors, sprinklers, water mist systems, gaseous systems, smoke control systems, and fire detection systems.
