Overview
The Firefighter Mental Health Wellbeing course is a vital resource designed by firefighters, for firefighters, ensuring it speaks directly to the unique challenges of the profession. We offer three flexible options for fire services to implement this course:
- Website Embedding – We can embed the full course directly onto the fire service’s website, ensuring instant, unrestricted access for all personnel whenever they need it. This means firefighters can proactively manage stress and mental health concerns on their own schedule, fostering a culture of resilience and psychological safety.
- Standalone Online Access – Firefighters can access the course via a dedicated learning platform, providing the flexibility to complete it anytime, from any device. This ensures the training is available regardless of department resources or infrastructure.
- Full Anonymous Survey Integration – Alongside the course, we can conduct a fully anonymous psychosocial risk survey to assess the mental health landscape of a department. This provides leadership with valuable, actionable insights while maintaining individual privacy.
With a deployment time of just 30-45 minutes, this course equips firefighters with the tools to recognise mental health challenges, support their peers, and follow escalation pathways. Our course is specific to the mental health needs of firefighters. Our platform also enables all new firefighters to have acces immediately on joinging the service.
This course features a powerful dynamic module presented by a firefighter who responded to the Grenfell Tower disaster. Having faced severe mental health challenges following this traumatic event, he shares his deeply personal journey of recovery and resilience. Through candid discussions, he outlines the specific coping strategies that proved effective for him, offering practical advice and solidarity to fellow firefighters who may be experiencing similar struggles. His firsthand account provides valuable insights into processing trauma within the unique context of firefighting service and highlights the importance of seeking support rather than suffering in silence
This is an essential, immediate, and global solution to the mental health crisis in firefighting—needed NOW to protect those who protect us.
